Reconstruction & retrofitting of a traditional listed stone building in Ermoupoli, Syros

Tesseract Engineers were appointed as the structural engineers for the reconstruction and retrofitting of the traditional house located in Ermoupoli, Syros. The building was initially constructed in the early 1900s and is planned to be fully renovated to serve the contemporary needs without however compromising the architectural characteristics and aesthetics of its era.  Our design office is involved in the early design stage including site investigation, laboratory testing and detailed design of the retrofitting strategy.
